TEAM WOOLDRIDGE ARE RASING MONEY FOR BRAIN TUMOUR AWARENESS

March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month. You will know that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Rick Wooldridge (G’dad) soon after his diagnosis of a brain tumour. Our family will forever be beyond heartbroken by the impact of this devastating disease and the loss of this incredible, inspirational man from our lives.

We want to do all we can to raise awareness and funds for brain tumour research. Currently, of the £700 million spent on Cancer Research each year, less than 1% is spent on brain tumours, yet 1 in 3 people know someone affected.

I Will Walk 500 Miles And I Will Walk 500 More...

G’dad loved anything outdoors and active and we have found that walking has been our therapy to help with our grief – we walk, talk, laugh and cry together. So, Team Wooldridge have decided to walk, as a family, for 1000 miles (500 miles and 500 more…) to end up at his door on his birthday on October 8th. Those of you who were able to join us at Churston Church to celebrate his life will recognise the significance of these lyrics. We are hoping to visit places that were special to G’dad on our walks and invite anyone nearby to join us (further details to follow).

Any donations to The Brain Tumour Charity, however big or small, would mean the world to us. We would also love you to take a walk somewhere in Rick’s honour – think of him and share a memory or a joke. He would love that.

Our lives will never be the same after losing our beloved, unforgettable G’dad – our hero – but we like to think of him walking every step with us. Team W x
